BLTM 2024, India’s premier event for Business + Leisure Travel & MICE, has wrapped up at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi, marking a significant milestone in the industry. This year’s edition saw the event double in size, attracting over 500 exhibitors from around the world, including national tourism organizations, convention bureaus, Indian states, hotels, resorts, DMCs, tour operators, and MICE agents. With more than 10,000 trade visitors in attendance, BLTM 2024 set a new standard for MICE events in India.
The event, held at one of the world’s largest MICE venues, showcased a diverse range of MICE and business travel products and services. Exhibitors from countries like Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Israel, and Russia, as well as Indian states including Goa, Odisha, and Punjab, participated, highlighting the event’s growing international presence.
Key industry figures attended the inaugural ceremony, including H.E. Mr. Hul Seila, Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia; Mr. Florian Sengstschmid, CEO, Azerbaijan Tourism Board; and Mr. Krishantha Fernando, General Manager, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau. The event featured insightful sessions at the BLTM Forum, exclusive networking opportunities, and a prestigious awards function recognizing excellence in sustainable and responsible tourism.
The event’s success reflects the significant growth in India’s MICE tourism market, projected to register a CAGR of 6% from 2024 to 2029. BLTM 2024 has solidified its position as a key platform for international and domestic suppliers to showcase their best offerings in the rapidly expanding MICE sector.
