IndiGo Wins Partner of the Year at Changi Airline Awards 2025 for Driving Passenger Growth

IndiGo has been awarded the prestigious Partner of the Year title at the Changi Airline Awards 2025, held at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. The accolade recognizes IndiGo’s significant role in boosting Changi Airport’s growth, where it has emerged as the fifth-largest foreign carrier by passenger traffic since beginning Singapore operations in 2011. IndiGo now operates 75 weekly flights between India and Singapore, a 53% rise compared to pre-pandemic levels, and transported over 1 million passengers through Changi in 2024, reflecting a 64% year-on-year increase. Connecting Singapore to nine Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Coimbatore, IndiGo has also strengthened regional links through a codeshare agreement with Qantas, enhancing travel between India and Australia via Singapore. Collaborations with Changi Airport Group and the Singapore Tourism Board on promotional campaigns have further boosted visibility. Highlighting the airline’s impact, Changi Airport Group CEO Yam Kum Weng noted that Changi welcomed a record 68.4 million passengers in 2024, with India-Singapore traffic rising 12% over 2023 and 15% above pre-Covid levels, underlining IndiGo’s pivotal role in the airport’s success.
