Qatar Airways Group has launched its annual safety and security awareness event under the theme “It Begins With You and Continues With Me”, aimed at fostering a strong safety culture across its operations. The event, inaugurated by Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, took place at The Plaza Doha and brings together key partners, including the Ministry of Interior, Mowasalat (Karwa), and Hamad Medical Corporation, alongside Qatar Airways Group divisions such as Qatar Aviation Services, Qatar Duty Free, and Hamad International Airport.
During the opening ceremony, Engr. Al-Meer highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable safety and security, emphasizing Qatar’s shared commitment to providing a secure air transport network. The event, running from 12–14 January, features interactive exhibition booths, live demonstrations, staff quizzes, games, and recognition awards.
The Ministry of Interior’s booth showcases contributions from its civil defense, drug enforcement, and traffic directorates, while Karwa Academy presents safe driving initiatives. Hamad Medical Corporation highlights its Kulluna Healthy Heart campaign. Ashish Jain, Qatar Airways Group Chief Risk Officer, expressed pride in the collaboration between internal teams and external partners, praising the innovative approach to safety and security.
