Sarovar Hotels has announced the appointment of two distinguished professionals to its corporate leadership team. Cdr. Siddhartha Gargori joins as the Corporate Director, Engineering, and Suranjit Sengupta as the Corporate Director, Food & Beverage.
Cdr. Gargori brings a wealth of experience from his illustrious 21-year career with the Indian Navy, where he specialized in project and program management, focusing on technical and greenfield infrastructure projects. His distinguished career includes eight years of active sea service on various Indian Naval warships, where he adeptly managed the maintenance and operation of electrical and weapon equipment and machinery.
In addition to his professional achievements, Cdr. Gargori has a passion for training and has served as an instructor, guiding cadet officers in various aspects of military training to prepare them as future officers of the Indian Navy. He is a graduate of the Naval College of Engineering, INS Shivaji, Lonavala, holding a B.Tech degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and an Executive Diploma in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Cdr. Gargori enjoys golf, tennis, reading, and leisure drives. In his new role, he will provide valuable support to Sarovar Hotels across India, leveraging his extensive expertise to enhance the company’s engineering initiatives.
Sengupta joins Sarovar Hotels with 18 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, including a decade at Marriott International. His key positions at Marriott included Hotel Manager at Fairfield by Marriott Jodhpur and Director of Food & Beverage at the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity. Sengupta has also made significant contributions to Hilton Bangalore Embassy Golf Links and Taj Krishna Hyderabad in Banqueting operations.
Sengupta’s dedication and hard work have earned him notable recognitions, including the “Global Event Management (GEM) Award” and “Event Excellence Award for Asia Pacific in 2017” by Marriott International. He has also served as a “Wedding Consultant for Marriott Asia-Pacific” and was an “Event Advisory Board Member for Asia Pacific in 2018,” showcasing his exemplary expertise in event management and food & beverage operations.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Sengupta enjoys traveling and overcoming challenging terrains with his driving skills. Sarovar Hotels is confident that in his new role, Sengupta will make valuable contributions to the company’s F&B operations, driving excellence and innovation.
