The Fern Hotels & Resorts, India’s leading environmentally sensitive hotel chain, has announced the appointment of new General Managers across its key regional properties in Sakleshpur, Jalna, Goa, Igatpuri and Junagadh. This strategic leadership move is aimed at strengthening on-ground management, enhancing operational efficiency and elevating guest experiences across the brand’s expanding portfolio.
At Tapovana The Fern Heritage Resort, Sakleshpur, Barun Nayak takes charge as General Manager, bringing with him 28 years of expertise in hotel operations and holiday activity management, with a successful career at Club Mahindra Holidays and Sterling Holidays. Chandan Chowdhury has been appointed as General Manager of Siddharth The Fern An Ecotel Hotel, Jalna. With 18 years of hospitality experience and strong expertise in F&B operations, Chandan has previously worked with Jaypee Group, InterContinental, The Lalit, Le Royal Meridien Chennai, and Hotel Royal Orchid Bangalore.
In Goa, Anshu Mishra has joined as General Manager of The Fern Residency Calangute-Baga, bringing 14 years of operational and leadership experience. An alumnus of IHM Gurdaspur, he previously led Evoke Hotels in Goa as Cluster General Manager, managing over 120 rooms across three properties. Joseph Jacob, with over three decades of hospitality experience, has been appointed General Manager at Rakabi The Fern – An Ecotel Hotel, Igatpuri. His career includes senior leadership roles at Lemon Tree and Sarovar Hotels, with more than 12 years as a General Manager focusing on operational excellence and guest-centric leadership.
At The Fern Leo Resort & Club, Junagadh, Vivek Dubey takes over as General Manager, bringing 25 years of experience in hospitality with a strong track record in pre-opening and turnaround projects. He has previously held senior roles at Clarks Group of Hotels and Fortune Park Bella Casa, excelling in strategic leadership, business performance and service standards.
