Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the expansion of its premium homestay brand amã Stays & Trails to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, marking its entry into island destinations with the signing of a bungalow cluster in Port Blair.
The project will feature a cluster of 10 bungalows near Manjery Beach, offering a mix of luxury amenities including a restaurant, spa, gym, swimming pool, and dedicated yoga and meditation spaces. Designed to reflect local culture and heritage, the property aims to deliver immersive, experience-led stays.
Guests will have access to curated experiences such as snorkeling, exploration of heritage sites like the Cellular Jail, and engagement with the region’s unique cultural landscape.
With this addition, amã Stays & Trails expands its footprint to 370+ bungalows across India, reinforcing IHCL’s strategy to tap into the growing demand for experiential leisure travel and unique stay formats.
Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO, IHCL, highlighted homestays as a key growth driver, while Abhishek Singh of Terra Rex Realty & Energy noted Port Blair’s strong potential as a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The move positions IHCL among the early players in premium homestays in island destinations, strengthening Port Blair as both a gateway and a standalone leisure destination.
