Luxury adults-only resort on Shura Island strengthens Saudi Arabia’s growing focus on wellness and regenerative tourism.
Saudi Arabia has officially welcomed Miraval The Red Sea on Shura Island, marking the globally recognised wellness brand’s first property outside the United States.
The opening represents another significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding luxury and wellness tourism sector while reinforcing The Red Sea Project as a leading regenerative tourism destination focused on immersive and experience-led travel.
The adults-only retreat features 180 rooms, suites and villas designed around mindfulness, movement, nutrition and relaxation. The resort offers personalised wellness experiences within a nature-inspired setting along the Red Sea coastline.
Facilities include a Body Mindfulness Center, Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen, Serenity and Aquatic Centers, spa and wellness therapies, mindfulness workshops, movement sessions and curated water-based experiences.
The property also operates as a digital device-free environment aimed at encouraging restoration, self-discovery and deeper guest engagement with nature and wellness experiences.
The opening comes amid strong tourism momentum across Saudi Arabia, with The Red Sea destination reporting occupancy levels of 82 percent during the final 10 days of Ramadan ahead of expected demand growth during Eid Al-Adha.
Guests can access the destination through Red Sea International Airport, followed by a 25 to 30-minute electric vehicle transfer to the resort. Additional flights have also been added to the airport for the upcoming Eid holiday period.
Miraval The Red Sea further supports Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism diversification strategy by strengthening the Kingdom’s appeal among luxury, wellness and experiential travellers seeking transformative and nature-driven experiences.
