DS Group and Radisson Hotel Group relaunch iconic ‘Namah Nainital’ in Uttarakhand

In a significant move to elevate luxury tourism in Uttarakhand, Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), a prominent FMCG and multi-business corporation, has joined hands with Radisson Hotel Group to relaunch the iconic ‘Namah Nainital.’ Formerly known as the Manu Maharani, this historic property has undergone a transformation, rebranded as Namah Nainital and now joining the Radisson Individuals Retreats collection, setting new standards in luxury hospitality.

Positioned in the scenic Nainital Valley, Namah Nainital provides an ideal getaway for both domestic and international tourists. Its central location, close to Kathgodam Railway Station and Pantnagar Airport, offers easy access to nearby attractions like Almora, Ranikhet, Bhimtal, Mukteshwar, and Ramgarh. Additionally, the proximity to Namah Jim Corbett, another Radisson Individuals property, enables guests to enjoy a seamless travel experience across Radisson’s offerings in Uttarakhand.

Nathan Andrews, Business Head – Hospitality at DS Group, shared, “The relaunch of Namah Nainital reflects our commitment to creating exceptional spaces that blend luxury with comfort. We are pleased to further strengthen our collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group through the opening of Namah Nainital, now a part of Radisson Individuals Retreats. By combining Radisson’s global expertise with our deep understanding of the local market, we aim to introduce international hospitality standards to the Kumaon region.”

Naresh Gupta, General Manager of Namah Nainital, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the focus on providing high-quality hospitality infused with local culture. “It’s a pleasure to welcome guests to Namah Nainital, where they can experience local culture with top-quality hospitality. From personalized services to locally inspired culinary delights, we’re excited to redefine hospitality in this market.”

Namah Nainital combines colonial architectural elegance with contemporary comforts, featuring rich woodwork, parquet flooring, and chandeliers. The hotel’s spacious accommodations—including superior rooms, premium rooms, and suites—offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lakes, ensuring an immersive experience for guests.

Luxury amenities abound, with a state-of-the-art gym, a spa offering a mix of Asian and Western therapies, and a Kids Zone for family-friendly entertainment. Business and leisure travelers alike will appreciate the expansive banquet hall and lawn, ideal for corporate events and conferences.

Dining at Namah Nainital is an experience in itself. The hotel’s all-day restaurant, Panorama, is situated around a century-old banyan tree and serves both local delicacies and international dishes prepared with fresh regional ingredients. For casual dining, the Viceroy Bar offers hand-tossed pizzas and Indian spirits with views of Nainital Lake, while Gardenia specializes in vibrant Pan-Asian cuisine.

Since 2000, DS Group has built a reputation in hospitality, now boasting six distinguished properties. Besides Namah Nainital, the group’s portfolio includes Namah Jim Corbett, Radisson Blu Hotel Guwahati, and other luxurious destinations across India.

Radisson Hotel Group continues to strengthen its presence in India, with over 180 properties in operation or development across 70 destinations. The group, which includes brands like Radisson Blu, Radisson Collection, and Radisson Individuals, is a leader in the Indian market, catering to both tier-1 cities and smaller towns with properties within a four-hour drive of each other.
