Frasers Hospitality, a strategic unit of Frasers Property, has been awarded a 1-star Green Star Performance (GSP) portfolio rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), making it the first hospitality portfolio in Australia to achieve this recognition. The rating, covering five properties—Capri by Fraser Brisbane, Fraser Suites Perth, Fraser Suites Sydney, Novotel Sydney Darling Square, and Novotel Melbourne on Collins—highlights notable efficiencies in water and energy use.
Aligned with Frasers Property’s ESG goals, the company plans to further enhance sustainability by reducing energy and water consumption across its global portfolio.
Additionally, Frasers Hospitality has earned the title of Regional Sector Leader in the Asia/Hotel category with a 5-star rating in the 2024 GRESB assessment, a globally respected benchmark for ESG performance.
“This dual achievement reflects our dedication to integrating sustainability into hospitality while maintaining excellence,” said Ms. Eu Chin Fen, CEO of Frasers Hospitality.
As of September 2024, 81.9% of Frasers Hospitality’s owned properties have attained or are pursuing green certification, contributing to the company’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon by 2050 and ensuring 85% of its portfolio is green-certified by 2030.
