IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in the hospitality sector, has announced a management agreement to launch a Holiday Inn Express in Ayodhya, one of India’s most visited cities. The new property, scheduled to open by mid-2028, underscores IHG’s commitment to expanding its footprint in high-growth Indian markets, especially in key spiritual destinations.
Holiday Inn Express, IHG’s largest and fastest-growing brand with over 3,100 hotels worldwide, is renowned for its comfortable accommodations and streamlined services, catering to modern travelers seeking rest and productivity. The Ayodhya hotel will feature 125 well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining facility, a fitness centre, a business centre, a laundry room, ample parking, and a spacious meeting room.
Strategically located near the airport, the railway station, and the iconic temple complex, Holiday Inn Express Ayodhya aims to attract spiritual tourists, leisure travellers, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) groups. Ayodhya has seen a tourism boom, welcoming over 110 million visitors in the first half of 2024, cementing its position as a leading spiritual destination.
