Anantara Koh Yao Yai Joins LHW, Strengthens Thailand’s Luxury Hospitality Portfolio

Anantar

Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort & Villas has been inducted into The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), becoming the first Anantara-branded resort in Asia to join the prestigious global collection of independent luxury hotels.

Located on the pristine island of Koh Yao Yai, the resort reflects Anantara’s philosophy of experiential luxury rooted in culture, nature and destination-led experiences. Its inclusion takes LHW’s footprint in Thailand to an exclusive portfolio of just eight properties.

For nearly a century, LHW has curated a distinguished portfolio of around 400 luxury hotels across 80 countries, known for their individuality and exceptional service standards.

Welcoming the resort, Dean Bannon, Vice President – Member Success & Development, LHW, noted that the property’s design, natural setting and immersive experiences make it a strong addition to the collection.

The resort continues to gain global recognition, having been featured in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2025 and ranked among the Top 15 Resorts in Thailand by Condé Nast Traveler readers.

Spread across over a kilometre of beachfront overlooking Phang Nga Bay, the resort offers a mix of suites, pool villas and penthouses, alongside curated experiences including island excursions, wellness retreats rooted in traditional Thai practices, and ultra-luxury yacht journeys.

Commenting on the milestone, Stuart de San Nicolas, General Manager, said the partnership with LHW will further expand the resort’s global reach while showcasing the island’s natural beauty to international travellers.
