
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline, will launch a thrice-weekly passenger service to Hyderabad, India, starting June 16, 2025. Strengthening connectivity between Africa and Asia, the new route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from Addis Ababa to Hyderabad, with return flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, emphasized the airline’s long-standing presence in India since 1971 and its commitment to expanding travel, trade, and tourism links. Currently, Ethiopian operates over 50 weekly flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai, with Hyderabad further enhancing passenger options in the region.
With a modern fleet serving over 150 destinations across five continents, Ethiopian Airlines continues to expand under its Vision 2035 strategy. A Star Alliance member, the airline has received multiple awards, including Skytrax’s ‘Best Airline in Africa’ for seven consecutive years.
