
Goa’s most-awaited spring festival, Shigmo 2025, is set to transform the state into a vibrant hub of cultural celebrations from March 15 to March 29. This annual festival, known for its grand parades, traditional folk dances, and stunning float processions, will showcase Goa’s rich heritage across 15 towns, offering visitors an immersive experience of the state’s traditions and festivities.
The celebrations will kick off in Ponda on March 15, followed by Margao (March 16), Quepem (March 17), and Curchorem (March 18). The festivities will then move to Shiroda (March 19), Calangute and Bicholim (March 20), Vasco (March 21), and Panaji (March 22). The vibrant parades will continue in Mapusa and Sanguem (March 23), Canacona and Cuncolim (March 24), Pernem (March 25), Dharbandora (March 26), Valpoi (March 27), Sanquelim (March 28), and conclude in Mandrem on March 29.
Each day will feature lively performances by folk artists in traditional attire, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of instruments like the dhol and tashe. The festival is a visual and cultural treat, offering visitors a chance to witness Goa’s authentic traditions and community spirit.
Goa’s Tourism Minister, Shri Rohan A.
