Israel Launches e-Visa System for Indian Travelers

The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) has introduced an electronic visa (e-Visa) system for Indian travelers, effective January 1, 2025. This innovative digital platform simplifies the visa application process, marking a significant milestone in Israel-India tourism relations. The e-Visa system is designed to enhance efficiency, streamline entry procedures, and provide a user-friendly experience for Indian nationals residing in India.

The new platform allows individual travelers to submit visa applications digitally from anywhere, offering simplified documentation requirements and seamless integration with Israel’s Entry Travel Authorization (ETA) system. While group visa applications will continue to follow existing channels, individual tourists can now apply via the official government portal (www.gov.il/en/departments/topics/eta-il/govil-landing-page).

This initiative underscores Israel’s commitment to strengthening tourism ties with India, recognizing the growing importance of the Indian market to its tourism sector. The e-Visa system reflects Israel’s dedication to providing accessible, efficient, and secure travel solutions tailored to the needs of Indian tourists. Future plans include expanding this system to all incoming foreign visitors to Israel.
