LOT Polish Airlines has officially introduced direct flights between Warsaw Chopin Airport and Malta International Airport, enhancing year-round access to the Mediterranean island. Started 16 April 2025, the airline will operate four weekly flights—on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays—with return services on the same days. The new route provides seamless travel for passengers from Poland, North America, and Asia, leveraging LOT’s extensive global network for convenient connections.
Malta, renowned for its rich history, picturesque coastline, and year-round mild weather, offers something for every traveler. Visitors can explore Valletta, a UNESCO-listed capital brimming with landmarks like St. John’s Co-Cathedral and the Grand Master’s Palace, or hop over to Gozo—just a 25-minute ferry ride away—to discover Dwejra Bay, Ramla Beach, and mythical Calypso’s Cave. For a taste of local life, the fishing village of Marsaxlokk dazzles with its colorful boats and bustling markets, while nearby Popeye Village in Anchor Bay adds a whimsical touch.
Michal Fijol, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We’re proud to offer travelers four weekly flights to Malta, making it easier to explore this captivating destination.” Alan Borg, CEO of Malta International Airport, welcomed the enhanced connectivity, emphasizing its benefits for both leisure and business travelers. Carlo Micallef, CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority, noted that the route will also attract long-haul markets, further diversifying Malta’s tourism appeal.
This expansion underscores LOT’s commitment to strengthening Malta’s global accessibility, positioning the island as a top-tier destination for travelers worldwide.
