Marriott International has officially signed an agreement with Vardhman Amrante, an Oswal Group venture, to debut its premium wellness-focused brand Westin Hotels & Resorts in Ludhiana, Punjab. Slated to open in the last quarter of 2030, The Westin Ludhiana will offer 200 well-appointed rooms and become part of a vibrant mixed-use development that includes retail outlets, a multiplex, and a gaming zone.

Set against the backdrop of Ludhiana’s dynamic urban energy and industrial prominence, The Westin Ludhiana will bring Marriott’s global reputation for wellness and hospitality to one of North India’s fastest-growing cities. The hotel will focus on promoting guest well-being through signature Westin experiences such as the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, the renowned Heavenly Spa by Westin, and multiple dining venues including a Lobby Bar and an Executive Club Lounge.

On the occasion of the signing, Ranju Alex, Regional Vice President – South Asia, Marriott International, said, “Through this strategic collaboration with Vardhman Amrante, we aim to redefine excellence in guest service while unlocking growth opportunities in Ludhiana. The Westin Ludhiana will deliver wellness-driven hospitality and empower guests to stay balanced and productive, aligning perfectly with the city’s rising global appeal.”

Adish Oswal, Chairman of Oswal Group, added, “We are proud to bring the globally acclaimed Westin brand to Ludhiana. This partnership with Marriott International is a significant milestone in elevating Ludhiana’s hospitality ecosystem with luxury and wellness at its core. As the city evolves into a regional powerhouse, The Westin Ludhiana will serve as a landmark destination for both business and leisure travellers.”

Strategically located just 20 minutes from Ludhiana Railway Station and around 1.5 hours from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh, the hotel will also benefit from proximity to the upcoming Halwara Airport, only a 15–20-minute drive away. It offers excellent connectivity to major North Indian cities such as Delhi, Patiala, Bathinda, Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Moga.

The hotel will also feature expansive event and banquet facilities, including a large outdoor lawn ideal for weddings, conferences, and social events. By introducing Westin’s signature pillars of well-being, the property aims to become a sanctuary for travellers seeking balance, rejuvenation, and a superior lifestyle experience in the heart of Punjab.

The debut of Westin in Ludhiana reinforces Marriott International’s commitment to expanding its footprint in India’s high-growth secondary cities while setting new benchmarks in luxury and wellness hospitality.
