Minor Hotels has announced the debut of its premium soft brand, Colbert Collection, in the United Kingdom with the launch of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel in London, scheduled to open in Q4 2026.
Located on Piccadilly in the heart of Mayfair, the upcoming five-star property will feature 50 rooms and suites, along with a restaurant and bar. The hotel will be developed within a historic Grade II-listed building, originally designed in the 1920s by renowned architect Sir William Curtis Green. The structure, formerly a NatWest bank, is being transformed into a boutique luxury hospitality destination, reflecting a broader trend of repurposing heritage buildings across London’s West End.
The launch marks a strategic entry for Minor Hotels into one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets, while also introducing Colbert Collection—a curated portfolio of independent hotels centred around culinary excellence, cultural engagement, and community-driven experiences.
The project is being developed in partnership with Royal Group of Companies, which is making its European debut through this investment. The location offers proximity to key landmarks such as Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Bond Street, and Piccadilly Circus, along with strong connectivity via Green Park station.
According to Dillip Rajakarier, the property represents a significant opportunity to expand the group’s footprint in central London while collaborating with distinctive, character-led assets. Royal Group leadership has also emphasised the project’s focus on preserving architectural heritage while adapting it for contemporary hospitality use.
With this launch, Minor Hotels continues to strengthen its global portfolio, while aligning with a growing industry trend that blends heritage conservation with modern luxury experiences.
