The long-term growth outlook for travel and tourism remains strong despite ongoing disruptions, though aviation continues to be the most vulnerable segment, said JB Singh.
Speaking at the Iconic Travel & Tourism Summit 2026, Singh said global tourism is projected to reach USD 16 trillion by 2033, underlining sustained long-term demand.
He identified logistics as the most resilient sector, followed by hospitality, which has adapted through domestic and hyper-local demand. Aviation, however, continues to face challenges due to regulatory complexities and exposure to external shocks.
Singh emphasised that resilience in the current environment is about building forward, supported by India’s strong domestic economy and continued demand across travel segments.
