Ziptrrip Acquires HelloTravel to Expand AI-Led Corporate Travel & MICE Ecosystem

Ziptrrip has acquired HelloTravel in a strategic move aimed at expanding its footprint beyond core corporate travel into high-growth segments including MICE, business leisure and experiential travel.

The acquisition marks Ziptrrip’s first major buyout within three years of operations and reflects the rapid scale-up of the AI-powered corporate travel and expense management platform, which has already facilitated more than two lakh trips across over 650 corporate clients.

Industry experts view the development as part of a larger consolidation trend within India’s travel technology ecosystem, where companies are increasingly building integrated travel platforms combining automation, supply networks, experiences and corporate travel management.

Through the acquisition, Ziptrrip gains access to HelloTravel’s extensive travel marketplace network built over nearly two decades, including more than 7,000 verified travel partners, destination management companies and travel agents across India and international markets.

HelloTravel currently offers over two lakh experience-led travel packages and has developed a strong digital travel community with more than 1.5 million organic followers, providing Ziptrrip with immediate scale in experiential travel, MICE and customized business-leisure solutions.

The deal is expected to create significant operational synergies by integrating Ziptrrip’s AI-driven travel automation and expense management infrastructure with HelloTravel’s partner ecosystem and destination expertise.

Travel industry observers believe the move strengthens the positioning of Ziptrrip’s parent company, Wayfarers Technologies Private Limited, as it moves toward building a full-stack corporate travel ecosystem spanning travel management, expense management, MICE, experiential travel and business leisure.

As part of the transaction, HelloTravel will continue operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wayfarers Technologies. While the founders will exit the business, the existing operational team will continue to ensure continuity across partner relationships and marketplace operations.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ziptrrip Co-founder and CEO Shan Prabhakaran said HelloTravel’s strong partner relationships and destination expertise would help the company expand meaningfully into MICE and business leisure while creating new growth opportunities within the corporate travel landscape.

Rishabh Agarwal, Co-founder and COO of Ziptrrip, highlighted the strength of HelloTravel’s partner ecosystem, adding that combining it with Ziptrrip’s AI-led infrastructure would enable the delivery of more customized and execution-focused travel experiences.

HelloTravel Co-founders Pankaj Agarwal and Mohit Shrivastava described the acquisition as a natural alignment of technology capabilities and partner-driven travel expertise, creating new opportunities to scale operations while continuing to deliver value to both travel partners and customers.

With HelloTravel having served more than one crore travellers across over 10,000 destinations globally, the acquisition significantly strengthens Ziptrrip’s ability to compete within the rapidly evolving corporate travel and travel-tech landscape, where personalization, automation and integrated travel solutions are becoming increasingly important.
