Global hospitality leader Accor has announced the signing of a major new hotel cluster in Tirupati, India, featuring two of its leading brands, Novotel and ibis Styles. The dual-branded complex, developed in collaboration with Shravanthi Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, will bring 350 new rooms to one of India’s busiest pilgrimage cities, providing much-needed upscale and economic accommodations for the millions of travelers drawn to the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple each year.
Located strategically in the heart of Tirupati, Novotel Tirupati and ibis Styles Tirupati will collectively offer 180 rooms in the Novotel property and 170 rooms under the ibis Styles brand. This mixed offering aims to cater to a broad spectrum of visitors, from pilgrims and tourists to business travelers, as Tirupati grows into a hub for education and commerce.
The new hotel complex will feature extensive amenities, including two all-day dining venues, a specialty restaurant, two bars, a shared lobby bar, and a café. Guests will also enjoy a fitness center, a swimming pool, and more than 1,000 square meters of flexible banquet and meeting spaces, ideal for hosting events of various scales. Positioned on Tirupati’s main road with easy access to both the airport and major religious sites, the cluster will provide a blend of convenience and comfort for visitors.
Aniruddh Kumar, Accor’s Vice President of Development for India & South Asia, expressed excitement about the development, stating, “We are ecstatic to expand our footprint in Andhra Pradesh with the addition of Novotel Tirupati and ibis Styles Tirupati. This development underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and further solidifies our position as a leading hospitality provider in the region.”
The project also represents a significant milestone for Shravanthi Hotels & Resorts Private Limited. Santosh Balakrishna, the company’s Executive Director, shared his enthusiasm, adding, “We are glad to partner with the Accor team to bring a unique dual hotel development to this region, serving both the midscale market with Novotel Tirupati and the economy market with ibis Styles Tirupati. The hotel’s location near the Tirumala Temple and easy airport connectivity makes it an ideal destination for visitors. Both hotels are slated to open in the first quarter of 2027.”
This new complex highlights Accor’s commitment to enhancing its presence in key Indian markets, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, where demand for high-quality accommodations is growing. Novotel Tirupati and ibis Styles Tirupati will join Accor’s extensive Indian portfolio, which already includes 65 properties under various brands, from Raffles and Fairmont to Mercure and ibis. With a pipeline of over 30 hotels currently under development in the country, Accor continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s largest international hotel operators by room count.
