IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of voco Amritsar, marking the debut of its premium voco brand in Punjab.
The newly opened property features 139 rooms across multiple categories, including Standard Rooms, Premium Rooms, Suites and Duplex Rooms. The duplex category, designed with a two-level layout, is positioned as a key highlight for guests seeking an elevated stay experience. The hotel has also incorporated sustainability elements, with bedding made using recycled materials, including duvets and pillows crafted from recycled plastic.
Speaking on the launch, Manish Kumar Yadav, General Manager, voco Amritsar, said the hotel has been designed to offer a stay experience that combines comfort with a strong sense of place, allowing guests to stay connected to the city’s cultural and spiritual character.
The property offers multiple dining options, including all-day dining restaurant Saffron, The Gallery for tea and desserts, and Plum Lounge for cocktails and bar bites. Wellness and leisure facilities include Tattva Spa, a fitness studio and an outdoor swimming pool.
For meetings and events, the hotel features several indoor and outdoor venues, including Blossom Ballroom, Imperial Hall and Legacy Hall. Additional spaces such as Colonial Court Room, Magnolia Hall, Maple Chamber, Pearl Chamber, Harmony Lawn and The Pavilion cater to conferences, social functions and private gatherings.
With this opening, IHG strengthens its presence in North India while expanding the footprint of its voco brand in key cultural and leisure destinations.
